Jim Adolf is a writer, lawyer, crude cartoonist and summer camp survivor. He lives in Brunswick, Maine, with his wife and two daughters.
Why did Jim – essentially a pacifist – spend so many summers in the wilds of Pennsylvania, playing sports with monstrously competitive suburban jocks and trying to avoid wedgies and purple nurples perpetrated by sadistic counselors? There’s no simple answer. This blog is his attempt to explain, or at least understand.
Heehee… Love it so far!
Re: Bunk-on-bunk violence
One is put in mind of Jane Austen:
“For what do we live, but to make sport for our neighbors, and laugh at them in our turn?”
-Pride and Prejudice
